Terms of Service

Last updated: June 29, 2026
⚖️ MyDepositLetter is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We provide self-help informational documents only. Using this service does not create an attorney-client relationship. For advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MyDepositLetter website and services ("Service"). By purchasing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

MyDepositLetter prepares self-help, informational documents — such as a security-deposit demand letter — based solely on the information you provide. The documents are templates personalized with your details. They are general information, not legal advice, and are not a substitute for the advice of a licensed attorney.

2. No legal advice; no attorney-client relationship

MyDepositLetter is not a law firm, is not a lawyer referral service, and does not practice law. No employee or contractor of MyDepositLetter acts as your attorney. We do not review your matter for legal sufficiency, do not provide opinions on your rights, and cannot guarantee any legal outcome. Laws change and vary by situation; you are responsible for confirming that a document fits your circumstances.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com, which handles all payment, billing, and related customer inquiries. Prices are shown at checkout in U.S. dollars and are one-time charges unless stated otherwise.

5. Delivery

After payment and after you submit the required information, we deliver your document by email, normally within one hour. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. If you do not receive your document, contact us so we can resolve it.

6. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. License and intellectual property

Upon payment, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the document we deliver for your own matter. The underlying templates, website, and content remain the property of MyDepositLetter. You may not resell, redistribute, or use our templates to create a competing service.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that any document will achieve a particular result.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyDepositLetter's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service. MyDepositLetter is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
